The Foundation will be initially offering several small grants up to
£1,000 in total each. These would be to enable artists working at the
edges of music making, visual or performance work. Examples could
be offering time andspace to develop ideas, offering a travel bursary
to go and see work and/or engage with a chosen artist.
A nomination scheme will be established, whereby several artists chosen
for their experience in any given field will put forward potential candidates
for this seed funding.
In the future we will be looking to support and/or collaborate with artists
toward creating a larger project; installation, exhibition, performance as
well as new music production.
We also wish to establish new frameworks to preserve, nurture,
and present these artists’ work and to build platforms for practices
under-represented in art’s commercial, institutional, and historical
fields.
